OAU Announces 2026 Post-UTME Guidelines, Makes Physical Screening Mandatory for Candidates

The management of Obafemi Awolowo University, has released new guidelines for the 2026 Post-UTME screening exercise, outlining key requirements that all prospective candidates must comply with to avoid disqualification.

According to the university, all applicants seeking admission through the 2026 admission process are required to participate in the Post-UTME screening and adhere strictly to the updated procedures.

Physical Screening Now Mandatory

One of the major updates is the introduction of compulsory physical screening. Candidates are required to present themselves at designated screening centres on their scheduled dates and venues.

The university stated that applicants are expected to check their screening schedules via the admissions portal starting from Monday, August 24, 2026.

Screening Dates and Fee

The Post-UTME screening exercise will hold between September 1 and September 5, 2026. Candidates are advised to regularly monitor the portal and ensure they attend on their assigned date and time.

The screening fee has been fixed at ₦2,000, excluding portal access charges. Applicants are advised to make payments strictly through approved university channels.

Warning Against False Information

OAU warned that any applicant who provides false information or uploads incorrect credentials during registration will be automatically disqualified. Candidates are urged to carefully verify all personal details, examination results, and uploaded documents before submission.

No Admission Agents

The university reiterated that it does not endorse or recognize admission agents. All admission processes are to be carried out directly through the official university portal.

With the introduction of mandatory physical screening and stricter verification measures, the university emphasized transparency and compliance, warning that failure to adhere to guidelines may result in disqualification.
