OAU STUDENT UNION TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT COMMISSION ANNOUNCES FREE CAMPUS TRANSPORTATION FOR TWO DAYS

The Transport Management Commission of the Great Ife Student Union, Obafemi Awolowo University, has commenced a two-day free transportation initiative for students across campus.

The initiative, which began on Monday and will continue today (Tuesday), providing students with access to free shuttle services within the university.

According to an official statement, the program features the deployment of newly introduced Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses, which are operating across key routes on campus to convey students at no cost.

The commission noted that the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve campus mobility and enhance student welfare.

Students have been encouraged to take full advantage of the free transport services while maintaining orderliness and cooperating with transport officials to ensure smooth operations.

The union added that the introduction of the CNG buses represents a significant step toward building a more efficient, reliable, and student-friendly transportation system within the university.
