‎OAU TO HOST FIRST LADY, SENATOR OLUREMI TINUBU ON OFFICIAL VISIT

‎Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, has announced plans to host Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on an official visit to the university on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

‎A notice issued by the Office of the Registrar and addressed to all staff stated that the visit will feature the official commissioning and handover of 50 buses and 10 tricycles donated by the First Lady to the institution.

‎The programme will also include the commissioning and handover of the Senator Oluremi Tinubu Dream Centre, to be performed by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II).

‎The university added that enhanced security arrangements and access control measures will be enforced across the campus for the duration of the visit.

‎Staff and students were urged to cooperate with security personnel, comply with all official directives, and maintain decorum.

‎OAU noted that further information on movement and programme arrangements will be communicated as appropriate, while inviting members of the university community to give the First Lady and other distinguished guests a warm reception.
