NYSC IFE CANCELS CDS, MANDATES ATTENDANCE AT MYG CONFERENCE                  By Goodness Olope 

‎The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Ife Central Local Government, has cancelled its Wednesday Community Development Service (CDS) meeting and directed all corps members to attend a leadership event organised by the office of the PRO, Great Ife Students’ Union.

‎‎The directive, issued by the NYSC Ife Central authorities, stated that the CDS meeting scheduled to hold at the Local Government Secretariat on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, will no longer take place. Instead, corps members are to assemble at Oduduwa Hall, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), by 9:00 a.m. prompt.

‎The corps members are invited to a leadership programme themed “The Media, Nigerian Youths and Governance Today.” As a result of the development, all proposed CDS outreaches earlier scheduled for that day have been suspended.

‎The NYSC authority emphasized that attendance at the event is compulsory, warning that failure to attend will attract sanctions, in line with existing NYSC regulations.

‎‎Corps members serving within Ife Central Local Government Area have therefore been advised to comply fully with the directive and report at the specified venue and time as instructed

  THE AWO TIMES Campus News | June 14, 2025 --- GREAT IFE STUDENT UNION PRO RAISES THE BAR WITH 'TUG OF WORDS' DEBATE COMPETITION  The Great Ife Student Union Public Relations Officer in conjunction with The Obafemi Awolowo University Literary and Debating Society, on Saturday, 14th of June 2025, hosted an inter-institution tournament —TUG OF WORDS – A British Parliamentary Tournament.  Held at Oduduwa hall in Obafemi Awolowo University.
