PharmaSpark ’25 Ignites Passion and Knowledge at OAU Faculty of Pharmacy

Day 4 of PANS Week brought us to the Faculty of Pharmacy for PharmaSpark ’25—a day packed with ideas, energy, and healthy competition.

The event kicked off with a warm and spontaneous opening prayer, led by a volunteer from the crowd. It set the tone for what became a day full of learning and excitement.

Shortly after, the President of PANS gave a short speech about the preparations that went into making PharmaSpark happen. In an unexpected but fun twist, he also announced that he would be stepping down temporarily from his role for 24 hours. This was in honour of a previously held competition,"PANS OAU One-Day President", where students competed for a chance to act as the Faculty President for a day. The winner, Folayemi Hallelujah, was officially handed the role and also gave a heartfelt speech about his preparation and journey to winning.

The day moved into the highlight segment—the PharmaSpark quiz competition. It was a tight contest among all the teams, but in the end, Team Ace came out on top with a winning score of 76.7%, earning themselves a cash prize of ₦100,000 and an Award of Excellence.

After the competition, everyone who took part in the quiz received certificates of participation—just a way to say well done to everyone involved.

Service awards were also presented by the Staff Adviser to the judges who helped make the event a success. The honoured judges included:

- Dr. F.O. Akinwunmi

- Dr. S.F. Olaniran

- Dr. A.O. Jegede

In return, Dr. Jegede presented an award to the Staff Adviser, Dr. Isaac Oluwole, as a token of appreciation for his continued support.

PharmaSpark ’25 wasn’t just a quiz day—it was a celebration of leadership, teamwork, and the real-life application of pharmacy knowledge. It showed that learning doesn’t have to be boring and that the pharmacy community at OAU is filled with passion, brilliance, and promise.
