MUTMAHINAH SURGERY DREAMS CLOSER TO REALITY AS FACULTY OF LAW COMPLETES FUNDRAISING 

The Faculty of Law, here at Obafemi Awolowo University has successfully raised the funds needed for their ailing Coursemate, Mutmahinah Oladosu's surgery. The initiative, which began on wednesday, with a campus-wide rally and fundraising drive by the Faculty of Law culminated into a triumphant moment for the Faculty and the entire university community.

Oladosu Mutmahinah, a 200 level student of the faculty of law, Obafemi Awolowo University is suffering from an acute kidney injury. The total cost of the surgery needed, including post surgery costs is estimated at #40 million naira.

  The amount seemed quite a stretch, but the part 2 Law student took to the streets of the university campus rallying for financial assistance to save the life of their coursemate.

With the students' relentless efforts, coupled with the generosity of donors and supporters both online and physically, the fundraising was completed today, on the 30th of May, 2025. 

As the news of the successful fundraising spread, emotions ran high with many expressing joy and relief. 

From 150,000 naira to 15,762,370 naira to 29,743,312 naira to 35,510,010  naira to 40,416,301 naira. Every amount each person contributed summed up to save Mutmahinah's life.

The faculty's remarkable effort serves as a testament to the power of community and collective support.

With the funds secured Mutmahinah is now set to undergo the surgery, bringing hope and a new lease on life.

Now, we pray in earnest for the success of her surgery.
