Faculty of Law Rallies for Mutimainah
In a moving show of solidarity, students from the Faculty of Law took to the streets of Obafemi Awolowo University today in a rally for their ailing coursemate, Mutimainah Oladosu, who is currently battling chronic kidney disease and urgently requires a kidney transplant.
Towards the Student Union Building, their chants and placards bore a common message: "Mutimainah’s Life Matters." But while the passion was loud, one cannot help but ask—is the campus hearing them well enough?
In times like this, we are reminded that student activism is not just about protests; it's about compassion, unity, and fighting for one of our own. Yet the momentum must not stop at a march. More needs to be done. The urgency of Mutimainah’s condition requires a louder, more sustained campaign—across faculties, across platforms, and across hearts.
She needs ₦40,000,000. So far, only ₦2,557,600 has been raised. The gap is massive, but not impossible—not if every voice becomes an echo, not if every hand stretches in help.
Now is the time for the OAU community to rise together—not in pity, but in purpose. Mutimainah’s fight should be ours.
Let’s intensify the calls. Let’s amplify her story. Let’s show what it truly means to be one.
